Love does not end when the physical body does.

Mediumship has become a deeply personal part of my life and my understanding of love, loss and connection.
I believe our loved ones don’t actually leave us.
Physically, yes. But not the connection we have.
For me, mediumship is not about having all the answers. It is about connection. It is about learning to quiet the noise, trust what I feel, keep my heart and senses open, and continue developing my relationship with Spirit.
My Journey With Spirit
My journey into mediumship really began after my daughter Ruby went Home.
My sister is a medium, and for years she would tell me that I was a medium too. But that just wasn’t something I was interested in or ready to explore for myself.
Then Ruby passed to Other Side, and a deep desire to find her was ignited within me.
I felt a deep and almost raw pull to understand more about Spirit: where she was, was she safe? I needed to know, and in learning, I found her. And it was beautiful, and it saved me.
I have since spent time learning from wonderful teachers and mentors, practising and developing my connection, and continuing to understand my own unique way of connecting with Spirit. I am still a student of this work, and I hope I always will be.
My connection with Ruby is strong – so incredibly strong. I feel her, I sense her, I get her messages through nudges, and I am in awe of her. And I’ll be honest: having faith in the Afterlife has not taken away the pain of physically missing my daughter. Nothing could.
But it has opened my heart to the possibility that ‘death’ does not end a relationship.
Ruby is still my daughter. I am still her mom. Our relationship has changed, but our love has not. And perhaps that has become one of the greatest teachings of my mediumship journey that I love to share:
Love does not die.
A New Chapter
For a time, I offered private mediumship readings and had the privilege of sitting with many beautiful people and their loved ones in Spirit. Every time I did, I proved to myself that my girl was with me. I needed that time. It saved me. Now, though, I no longer feel the need to prove it to myself.
At this time, I have chosen to step away from offering private sittings as I put more of my time and energy into my writing and books, advocacy, and the work I feel called to create.

But I am not stepping away from mediumship.
Quite the opposite.
I will continue to study, develop and practise my mediumship privately, within my family, for myself and within my own relationship with Ruby and Spirit. And you will see me on the platform with my sister still.
However, I am learning that not everything we develop needs to become something we sell or offer as a service. Some things can simply become part of who we are.
Mediumship is one of those things for me.
Inspired Writing With Spirit
One area I feel increasingly drawn toward is inspired writing. I have done a lot of it, and there is always a beautiful message delivered from Spirit.
Writing has always been one of the ways I navigate my feelings, figure things out, process my grief, and everything in between. Now I am exploring what happens when I bring my writing and my connection with Spirit together.
In the quiet, I connect, listen, and I feel.
And I write.
Some of these writings feel like teachings. Some feel like reflections on grief, love, life and what happens after physical death. Some are simply words that flow.
I will be sharing some of these writings here as this part of my journey unfolds. Ruby and I always had something we did together which we called ‘Conversations with My Daughter’. How incredible that this part of my connection with her is still having ‘Conversations with my Daughter’.
What I Believe
I don’t have all the answers, and I don’t pretend to. I am still learning and still trying to understand so much of what I experience.
But I do know what I believe. I believe our loved ones are still close. They still take part in our lives, taking in the experiences like a one-way mirror. They can see us, hear us, talk to us. We know there is someone there, but we cannot see or hear them. But…we can always talk to them.
Ruby passing over has changed everything I thought I knew about life, death, grief and love. My connection with her and with Spirit has brought me comfort, hope and a deeper faith that this life is not the end.
I will continue to learn, question, explore and share what I experience along the way, through my connection, my writing and simply through living this life as Ruby’s mom. I am forever Ruby’s mama.
Because of everything I have experienced, there is one thing I believe with my whole heart:
Love does not die.

Tammy
