What if the hardest part of mediumship isn’t the connection to Spirit, but finding the words to explain it?

Mediumship is often thought of to be a simple, straightforward experience but the truth is, it is not simple at all.

What mediums are working with is a whole different type of “language”.
It is subtle, expansive. It’s felt, but it’s not clear and concise at all.

And this is why many mediums doubt themselves and their abilities.

Trying to explain what we are sensing, trying to find the “right” words, trying to make something so vast feel clear and understandable for our client, can be daunting.

This is where constant development comes in, and that development mediums invest into themselves is where confidence comes in.

We know that our work is not forcing better words or making a story fit, but learning to understand what we are experiencing. To sit with it, to trust it and to practice with the sensations, subtle feelings, quick images, and to be able to relay it.

Because mediumship is not something we simply “have”…
it is something we develop.

Developing mediumship is like learning a new language

Just like learning a new language, we don’t become fluent overnight.

We practice and develop. We learn and practice more. We get it wrong and practice more. And we get better and better and better.
And we misunderstand sometimes. And we practice more.
And slowly…we begin to recognize the meaning behind it all.

Communication and connection never end; we are constantly learning and growing and trying to learn to communicate better, clearer. And that is precisely what a medium does, tries to communicate better, clearer.

We continue to learn, grow and to show up with humility and a dedication to this sacred work.

Practice over time strengthens our skills

Over time, our need to explain everything perfectly begins to soften. And instead, we begin to experience this incredible journey, delivering words of love to the client, from their loved one in Spirit in the purest of ways possible: from love.

Because what matters most is not perfect words…
it’s the meaning, the feeling, and the recognition of that loved one that is shared.

And that is what brings some healing, peace and hope.
Always.
