When a child goes on ahead of you to live in Heaven, your world is ripped apart and broken open in every way.
Putting it back together is nothing like people imagine.
We are broken. Utterly broken.
Shattered.
And yet…we know we have to find a way to keep breathing. To keep living.
For our families.
And as we do, something begins to shift.
The shift begins to happen
We realize that none of the chatter, the negativity, or the drama…matters anymore.
None of it.

What matters is quiet. Silence. Breathing in love. Holding our loved ones close.
Being with the people who truly show up. Learning and living at the same time.
Our hearts begin to open in a different way.
We see how fragile life really is.
And because of that, we have little space for anything that does not feel real or meaningful.
The sunset lingers longer in our sight. We watch the birds with a deeper awareness. We hold our hugs a little longer.
And somewhere along the way, a belief settles in…deeper than we have ever known before.
A change in perspective
We are no longer afraid of death.
Instead, we choose to live. To honour our children in the most beautiful ways we can.
We come to understand that love does not end. That connection remains.
We have changed. Oh yes, we truly have.
We have had to put ourselves back together again…but we will never be the same.
And that is both heartbreaking…and incredibly strong.
